Need an intro blurb here John

Financial Stability

Sound finances build strong communities. I will lead with disciplined, long-term planning through our Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP). Grow strategic reserves to reduce debt, and strengthen forecasting for the road ahead, while pursuing every grant and partnership opportunity to bring outside investment home and protect taxpayers.

Experienced Leadership

Municipal challenges call for steady, informed leadership. Drawing on experience in both the private and public sectors, I bring strategic thinking, sound governance, and practical problem-solving to Council. I believe in learning from proven approaches rather than reinventing the wheel, and in building consensus among residents, businesses, and fellow Council members to move our community forward.

Managing Growth

Mandated growth demands will continue. I am committed to responsible development that meets provincial targets while protecting the rural character, natural beauty, and small-town feel that makes our County special. Through collaboration, infrastructure planning, and open dialogue with residents and developers, we can grow without losing the magic of the County.

Transparency

Residents deserve to know how decisions are made and tax dollars are spent. I will drive an open government, meaningful public engagement through initiatives like Engage Brant, and clear reporting on municipal projects and finances.

County Services

Quality of life starts with strong community services. I will support expanded programs for families, seniors, and youth; invest in our parks and natural spaces — including the continued rejuvenation of Barkers Bush and North of the Nith; and champion thriving libraries that serve as hubs for learning and connection. As our community grows, County services must grow with it.
